Zach Fischer is For Kids
For Immediate Release - Penticton, BC (Canada) - Kaizen Sports & Entertainment Ltd. is pleased to announce the official launch of Zach Fischer's charity, Z for Kids.
The summer of 2017 proved to be an unusually busy time for client Zach Fischer. On June 24th, The Calgary Flames made Fischer the newest member of their club, calling his name at the NHL Entry Draft. The rugged winger, who is entering his overage year with the Medicine Hat Tigers, spent his off-season training and preparing with the Flames. Entering the 2017-18 season, Fischer wanted to give back to a community that has given him so much. In his limited down-time Zach created a non-profit charity, Z for Kids, with the purpose of seeing fewer children go to school hungry.
With the help of local Medicine Hat businesses, Zach used his influence and own resources to secure over twenty thousand dollars. In partnership with the Medicine Hat Tigers, the resources will be donated to the Medicine Hat Tigers school district to help battle hunger in schools.
Zach attributes much of his success to proper nutrition and feels it is important he do his part in the Medicine Hat community.
"It amazes me how many kids have to go to school hungry," said Fischer. "If my charity can help those less fortunate kids get a jump start to the day with a proper meal, I consider that success."
"Zach's commitment and selflessness make him a great role model," stated Managing Director Michael O'Rafferty. "Anytime a young person takes the initiative to make this world a better place, it serves as a reminder we can all do our part, however that may look."
