Clay Stevenson Signs NHL Entry Level Contract with the Washington Capitals



Penticton, BC (Canada) - Kaizen Sports Agency is pleased to announce that client, Clay Stevenson, has agreed to terms with the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL) on an Entry Level Contract (ELC) beginning next season.

The Alberta native has signed a two-year NHL deal which will run through the 2023-24 season. Clay will immediately join the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL) for the remainder of the season.


The 23-year-old goaltender exploded onto the scene during the 2019-20 season winning the BCHL Top Goaltender Award after posting a .936 SAV% and 1.77 GAA in 35 games for the Coquitlam Express.

Stevenson is a Sophomore at Dartmouth College where he continued his on ice dominance. He was named to the NCAA ECAC All-Rookie Team and nominated for the Ken Dryden A

Clay plans to continue working on his degree while pursuing professional hockey with the Capitals.
