Seth Barton Signs NHL Entry Level Contract with the Detroit Red Wings

Penticton, BC (Canada) - Kaizen Sports & Entertainment Ltd. is pleased to announce that client, Seth Barton, has agreed to terms with the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL) on an Entry Level Contract (ELC) beginning in 2021-2022.
The two-year deal will run through the 2022-23 season. Seth will join the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL) for the remainder of their season.
Barton, 22, spent the last three seasons patrolling the blue-line for the NCAA's UMASS Lowell River Hawks upon graduating from the Trail Smoke Eaters of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).
The Kelowna, BC native showed significant development and future promise in his first year of junior hockey. The Red Wings saw such promise and made him their 81st selection in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
In three seasons with the River Hawks, Barton has progressed into one of Hockey East's best defensive players posting 36 points in 83 games and 49 penalty minutes.

"He took his time in minor hockey, mastering the levels before moving on and used his college years much the same. He is mature beyond his years and is ready to take on the added responsibilities of professional hockey.
