Kaizen Sports Agency Celebrates Clay Stevenson's NHL Extension with the Washington Capitals

Penticton, BC — Kaizen Sports Agency is thrilled to announce the signing of their client, goaltender Clay Stevenson, to a three-year NHL extension with the Washington Capitals. The contract will begin with the 2024-25 season and extend through the 2027-28 season, marking a significant milestone in Stevenson's burgeoning NHL career.


Stevenson's journey to this point has been one of dedication and perseverance. A 24-year-old native of Drayton Valley, Alberta, Stevenson has consistently impressed throughout his development, showcasing exceptional talent and unwavering commitment to his craft.

Brian MacLellan, president and general manager of the Washington Capitals, announced the re-signing of goaltender Clay Stevenson to a three-year contract worth $2.325 million. In the first year, Stevenson's contract will be a two-way agreement with a split of $750,000 for NHL and $200,000 for AHL. The subsequent two years will see a one-way contract with a salary of $775,000.


Stevenson, 24, boasts an impressive record this season with the Hershey Bears (AHL), holding a 9-4-0 record, a 1.70 goals-against average, a .934 save percentage, and four shutouts in 13 games. He currently leads the AHL in goals-against average and shutouts, ranks second in save percentage, and is tied for third in wins.
