Kaizen Client Carter Bear Signs Entry-Level Contract With Detroit Red Wings

PENTICTON, BC — Kaizen Sports Agency is proud to announce that client Carter Bear has officially signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League.

Selected 13th overall in the first round of the 2025 NHL Draft, held at L.A. Live’s Peacock Theatre, Bear continues to prove why he’s one of the most promising forwards in his class. The 18-year-old Winnipeg native recently took part in the Red Wings' Development Camp (June 30–July 3), where he showcased his creative vision and intensity that has defined his rise through the junior ranks.

Standing 6'1 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds, Bear lit up the WHL this past season with the Everett Silvertips, leading the team in goals (40), points (82), power play goals (14), and game-winning goals (9) across 56 games. His consistent offensive production earned him a spot on the WHL’s Western Conference Second All-Star Team. Over two seasons with Everett, Bear has amassed 141 points (66-75-141) in 142 regular-season games, along with a +53 rating and 103 penalty minutes.

Before his WHL breakout, Bear dominated at the U18 level with the Winnipeg Thrashers, earning MVP honors and a First All-Star Team nod in the Manitoba U18 Hockey League during the 2022–23 season.
