Five Kaizen Sports Agency Athletes Named to NHL Central Scouting Preliminary Players to Watch List

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 23, 2024
Penticton, BC — Kaizen Sports Agency proudly announces the recognition of five elite prospects named to the NHL Central Scouting's Preliminary Players to Watch List for the 2024-25 season.
Leading the group with an "A" rating is Prince George Cougars goaltender Joshua Ravensbergen, who has established himself as one of the top netminding prospects for the upcoming NHL Draft. The 17-year-old's outstanding 6-1-2-1 record this season builds upon his remarkable 2023-24 campaign, where he posted 26 victories and six shutouts while leading the Cougars to the Western Conference Championship Series.
Everett Silvertips forward Carter Bear earned a "B" rating, reflecting his status as a potential second or third-round selection although many scouts believe he is may be the fastest riser in the draft. The The dynamic forward from West St. Paul, Manitoba, has showcased his offensive abilities with 18 points (9G, 9A) in just 11 games this season, following up on his impressive 57-point campaign in 2023-24.
Calgary Hitmen forward Brandon Gorzynski received a "C" rating, recognizing his potential as a late-round selection. The 6-foot-1 center has demonstrated steady development in his WHL career, combining size and skill to make an impact at both ends of the ice. His range and ability to protect pucks, mixed with his vision have scouts very excited about his future potential.
Two additional Kaizen prospects earned "Watch" ratings: Prince Albert Raiders forward Ethan Bibeau and London Knights forward Blake Arrowsmith. Both players have shown promising potential in their respective leagues, warranting continued monitoring by NHL scouts throughout the season.
"While these rankings represent a wonderful acknowledgment of our athletes' abilities, it's crucial to understand that this is merely the first step in a long journey," says Michael O'Rafferty, Senior Managing Director at Kaizen Sports Agency. "These moments are nice feathers in their caps, but the path to professional hockey is a marathon, not a sprint. Our focus remains on supporting these young men as they continue their development and chase their dreams of playing in the NHL."
