2019 Stanley Cup Champions Sign Evan Polei to NHL Contract
For Immediate Release - Penticton, BC (Canada) - Kaizen Sports & Entertainment Ltd. is pleased to announce that client Evan Polei has agreed to terms with the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL) on an Entry Level Contract (ELC) beginning in 2019-20.
The two-year deal will run through the 2020-21 season.
Polei, 23, finished his second season as a professional with the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League (AHL). The bruising forward is no stranger to earning his keep, one step at a time.
The undrafted Free Agent spent his junior career with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League (WHL) where, under the tutelage of Head Coach Brent Sutter, he learned how to play a rough and tumble style.
The Westaskiwin, Alberta native, while known for his toughness, also possesses a lethal shot and a knack of scoring timely goals.
Maybe none bigger than his overtime Memorial Cup winning goal:

Polei will join the reigning Stanley Cup Champions for Main camp in September and work his way up the depth chart on a team that values heavy play and team toughness.
"Evan is the definition of persistence and perseverance, as it relates to professional athletes," stated Kaizen Managing Director Michael O'Rafferty. "Evan and I are confident in his ability, and this is another step in the right direction for him. I think a lot of credit goes to the Edmonton Oilers organization for giving him an opportunity for the last two seasons."
